Outside Sales Representative
Would you like to be part of a local growing foodservice company? We have an existing, well established sales route in need to an energetic sales oriented person. We have a strong team culture, with long standing ties to the local restaurant scene.POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an outside sales position for a foodservice distributor. You will be responsible for promoting the company's products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts. The main focus is to help our customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals established by the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within assigned territory. Seek new prospects in accordance with company goals. Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and service to meet needs. Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers, based on business needs and goals. Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma and 5 YRS Foodservice sales experience and/or restaurant management/chef experience
Basic pc skills
valid driver's license with a "clean" driving record
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or Culinary Arts and 1 year of outside foodservice sales experience or prior restaurant management / chef experience
Physical Demands:
This is a route sales position so you will have dedicated routes each day; must be fine with driving in all weather conditions and environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
